Jo Completed a Bachelor of Art Psychotherapy in 2019, she is currently working for headspace and holding sessions at her home studio. As a neurodivergent woman, Jo specialises in working with neurodivergent individuals and families in a wide range of areas, including school refusal, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and relationship issues. Jo is currently studying a Graduate Diploma of Autism Studies at Griffith University to consolidate all of her experience with neurodivergent young people and mental health. Focusing on building strengths and self acceptance to be the amazing humans they are.
Photo is obviously of me. I’m not good at taking photos of myself and marketing but I realise it is helpful for the young person to get a feel of who you are. I work exactly the same. I don’t know how to work filters or take selfies well but I have something on here now, so proud of myself. hahaha
Jo offers individual sessions for young people and parent sessions at her home studio in Belgrave South. Groups will be held throughout the year for young people to connect, please email me with an expression of interest.
You can book a Free 15 minute intake to discuss your needs and see if art psychotherapy will meet that need.
Open Friday afternoons and monthly on Saturday.
TEEN TRANS ART THERAPY GROUP - Email expressions of interest to info@eearttherapy.com.au, groups will be small and at Belgrave South.
My approach to therapy is person centred. Working with the individual to understand where they are at, then adapting modalities and strategies to meet their needs. This could begin in the front garden if that is where they are most comfortable, or finger painting, using lego or talking. Once we have started to build some safety, we can extend and adapt as we go.
The biggest lessons I have learnt come from my family of neuro-spicy individuals, creating a life with harmony while doing it our way. I am passionate about being proud of our differences and not changing to suit another’s agenda.
The philosophy behind EEAT is simple. Humans need connection, to each other and to the natural world but we need it in different ways and amounts. While therapy is at the heart of Earth Elements our environment is also important. It is visible at all times, the front garden is being developed into another space for art, meditation or find

While therapy is at the heart of Earth Elements our environment is also important. It is visible at all times, the front garden is being developed into another space for art, meditation or finding peace. In this busy world, having spaces that help us exhale are even more necessary. This is hopefully one of those spaces.
Neuro-affirming spaces are needed for various reasons. Teaching our children and young people that they can be exactly who they are. There is no need to mask or change yourself to suit your environment.
We connect as neurodivergent people and share our quirks and uniqueness in a safe place.
I try to stay up to speed with the every changing
